SparkCharge CEO, Josh Aviv, traveled to Albany, New York to participate in FuzeHub's inaugural Commercialization Competition where the SparkCharge team won big. This event featured a pitch competition as well as provided opportunities for networking in the startup community. SparkCharge competed against 16 other teams where up to five winners were chosen to win a funding prize of $50,000. Other competitors included startups in a range of industries such as Clean-Tech, IT, and Bio/Life Sciences.
FuzeHub is a nonprofit organization for manufacturers in NYS to use as a resource to utilize their "extensive network of industry experts, programs and assets to solve productivity, commercialization, research and development issues, and other challenges to growth". FuzeHub launched their Commercialization Competition to strengthen the entrepreneurial and innovation network in New York State while fostering the growth of early ventures in the region.
SparkCharge was one of five teams to take home the funding prize of $50,000 to cultivate and nurture their startups for more growth opportunities.
