CES 2020 Wrap Up

CES is “the world’s gathering place for all those who thrive on the business of technology. It has served as the proving ground for innovators and breakthrough technologies for 50 years.”

Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, it attracts the world’s business leaders and pioneering thinkers.

This year, SparkCharge had the opportunity to attend CES and take advantage of the great networking opportunities that the event offers.

Dassault Systèmes Media Night

Dassault Systèmes is a software company that develops 3D design, 3D digital mock-up, and product lifecycle management software and they are a huge reason why we were able to attend the conference. Their SolidWorks platform is utilized by our engineering team for our design-to-manufacturing process, so we were invited to participate in a series of events hosted by Dassault Systèmes.

We were able to showcase our product, as well as make some valuable industry connections during their media networking event at the beautiful Villas at the Mirage.

Techstars Podcast & Panel Discussion

As a part of the Techstars network, our Founder & CEO, Josh Aviv, was invited onto the Give First Podcast with Techstars VP of Network, John Hill. In the podcast, Josh shares his journey turning an idea he had at Syracuse University into an actual company. Listen to the podcast episode below:

Josh was also invited to participate in a panel discussion regarding entrepreneurship in higher education. During the discussion, Josh discussed how he started the company at Syracuse University with the help of Blackstone Launchpad. There were many other great insights discussed by the panelists including their best advice to student entrepreneurs and what resources are available to students trying to launch a company.
